From an original concept by artist Hilary Champion, the Post War Orchestra imagines an era when there is peace worldwide and there’s simply no need for military equipment. This equipment, including deactivated weapons and other paraphernalia, is recycled and transformed into musical instruments.

Having played its first major public concert at Glastonbury on the invitation of Charles Hazlewood (pictured above) the collective is now building and refining more instruments and developing a repertoire of original music which incorporates contemporary, classical and experimental styles.
